SunPower Completes 18MW Solar Plant in Spain
SunPower, announced the completion of the 18 MW Olivenza solar power plant in Badajoz, Spain. Construction on the project was completed in the spring, and the plant was connected to the power grid by the regional government in July.
Villaraigosa Unveils Solar Plan for Los Angeles
If implemented as proposed, it would be one of the country’s largest solar power plans. It is aimed at jump starting the green economy in Los Angeles with the installation of 1.3 GW of solar power.
Sun Rising on California’s Power Horizon
Californians have more than 60 percent of the nation’s solar installations, and more than 66 percent of the state’s solar applications are in Northern California, according to a report released Monday by the Northern California Solar Energy Association, a nonprofit advocacy group.
